Academics
Here at CBA, we pride ourselves on providing our students with the absolute best education available. Our programs are designed to work to each student's individual learning style, recognizing, respecting, and celebrating that every person learns differently. We have created a uniquely rigorous academic program for all of our students, from our first graders all the way through our seniors in high school. Explicit instructional in foundational elementary and intermediate skills allow our high schoolers to prepare for whatever their next life step has in store, be it collegiate success, financial independence as a working artist, or self-marketing in order to secure a desired career or place in a company, orchestra, or theatrical endeavor. We not only meet but far exceed state and federal curriculum guidelines, and our students are provided with every support during academic times, allowing them to outshine their local public and private school counterparts.
It is critically important that parents who decide to enroll their children in our program understand that we place just as much emphasis on academic effort and growth as we do on achievement within the arts tracks. While we design our programs to allow students to focus their afterschool time on their desired arts path, we do hold our students to extremely high standards. However, we believe that EVERY child has the ability to learn and the right to do so in an atmosphere that will best help each achieve their goals. We do not turn away children based on IEPs, 504s, or academic struggles; we are happy to teach any child who is eager to learn.
We encourage parents to carefully read and review our academic programs carefully to ensure that we are the best fit for your family. You will notice that our program is very uniquely designed for our region. Please know that our teachers use data-driven practices and have made all decisions about our academic design based on well-researched methodologies. We are very proud of what we are able to offer students at CBA and enjoy being able to teach in a way that we feel best allows us to reach each child in our classrooms.
