Like all independent private schools, Canterbury Brook Academy is dependent upon tuition and fundraising to keep our programs strong. Unlike most schools in our category, however, CBA is dedicated to maintaining a low tuition point and NOT instituting fundraising minimums for families. As such, we try to be creative in our fundraising pursuits and rely on the generosity of our sponsors and donors to help us meet our minimums. Any help you would be willing to offer would be incredibly appreciated, and all donations, no matter how seemingly small, are celebrated. We also function as a not-for-profit, providing quality arts and academic programming for the communities we serve via CBA Arts, Incorporated (EIN 93-3520153). Any donations to support the work of CBA Arts Incorporated are tax deductible as it is a registered 501c3. We honor all of our donors, but those who contribute items or funds totaling $500 or more earn certain distinctions within our school:
Friend: a donation of $500-$1000
Sponsor: a donation of $1000-$5000
Ally: a donation of $5000-$10,000
Philanthropist: a donation of $10,000-$50,000
Angel: a donation of $50,000+
Each autumn and spring, we will issue a fundraising newsletter honoring and thanking our friends, sponsors, allies, philanthropists, and angels. We have a beautiful Tree of Life in our lobby where these people's names are also featured. Friends make up the leaves of our tree, while Sponsors are listed on the trunk. The roots of the tree are dedicated to each of our Allies. Philanthropists receive the honor of a classroom plaque, commemorating their generosity to our school on the classroom door of their choice. Our Angels are gifted plaques above the wing of their choice, dedicating this area of the building to the memory of their gift.
CBA's Capital Campaign for the Summer of 2025
For the past year, our faculty, families, and supportive community members have been working together to build a fence that would allow our school to create a beautiful and secure outdoor space for our students within our lovely home here in the City of Newburgh. At this point, we are only $25,000 from our goal. We would ask that you please help us cross the finish line! No donation is too small, and everything is appreciated and tax exempt! Please use the button below or the QR code to make a donation and help us complete this important project!
