Frequently Asked Questions
- Do participants need to be CBA students? No, any child who fits the age criteria and can submit necessary documents can participate in the program.
- Who staffs the program? Our summer program is run by our own CBA faculty and staff.
- What are the hours of the program? The full day program runs from 9AM until 3PM. The half day program begins at 9AM ends at lunchtime, 12PM.
- What are the dates of the program? The program lasts for 5 full weeks, from July 8th until August 9th. We do not offer discounts for time missed, but we understand that some participants may miss a day here or there. Scheduled extended absences will impact decisions regarding casting for the musical.
- What are the dates and times of the musical’s performances? The musical will be performed on Friday, August 9th at 7PM, Saturday, August 10th at 2PM and 6:30PM, and Sunday, August 11th at 2PM. A post-mortem party and set breakdown will take place after the last show for all participants and families.
- What will need to be sent daily? For full-day participants, we would ask that two snacks, a lunch (unless you have preordered), a closed top water bottle, a backpack, dance shoes, and any academic supplies be brought daily. For half-day participants, one snack, a closed top water bottle, a backpack, dance shoes, and any academic materials must be sent daily. For participants ages 5 to 7, a change of clothes must be packed to be left in a cubby just in case; this should be sent in labeled in a plastic ziplock bag and will be returned on the last day of the program. If your child has any necessary medical devices, such as epipens or inhalers, these would need to be provided along with a doctor’s note and kept in the office unless designated for self-carry by your physician.
- Is the CBA uniform required? No, we do not need to wear uniforms in the summer. However, we would ask that a modest and comfortable dress code be followed. Students show wear something they can move comfortably in for dance classes. Midriffs must be covered, and undergarments should not be visible in shirts and bottoms. No inappropriate or offensive logos or writing should appear on garments.
