Canterbury Brook Academy of the Arts is not only unique among private independent schools, it is unique among all schools.  At CBA, your children will receive a top-notch academic education, enabling them to apply with confidence to the best colleges in the nation, as well as full instruction in the arts, enough to pursue a career in an arts-based field upon graduation should they choose to do so.  Our system of grading, formation of classes, and daily schedule set us apart from other private school options, even elite arts school in NYC who can boast similar levels of dual preparation.  Our students are also nurtured from day one with a strong sense of service to their communities, a focus on social-emotional health and awareness, and a deeply held sentiment of self-efficacy.  As such, a CBA graduate is a standout among his or her peers.  
Researching the Options
When compared with other independent private schools in the region, CBA's tuition comes in at a far lower price point.  This is a remarkable fact considering that no other school offers as much extra-curricular arts-based training during the school day.  Moreover, our newly renovated facilities, staff of master educators, and beautiful home in the heart of the Hudson Valley make CBA a naturally desirable location to choose as your child's academic home.  The entire staff recognizes the sacrifice any family makes when choosing private education for their children, and we want you to make this choice with as much information at your disposal as possible.  Though it would be difficult, due to our completely unique program, to find a local option comparable to our own, other regional independent private schools charge as much as three times our rate of tuition without including any of their pricey a la carte fees.  Moreover, unlike many local options, CBA is a place that your children can call home from their earliest years all the way through graduation with no grade-level increases.  Also, private scholarships do exist and can be inquired about via email at [email protected].

Financing Your Child's Education at

Unlike most K-12 schools, CBA utilizes a flat tuition rate across all grades.  This allows families to plan accordingly for their child's entire educational journey.  CBA also does not hide fees or charge additional amounts for involvement in arts programming as this is intrinsically a part of our program.  The Board of CBA does offer certain sponsorship and financial aid packages, which can be inquired about after acceptance.  Furthermore, private scholarships are available and vary per year based on the generosity of community donors.  We have no fundraising requirements or minimums and try to work with families in need within our community.  

Annual Tuition Rate:    $15,000.00          (Inquire about the 2025 Board Incentive for Early Enrollment: $12,000 tuition)
Yearly Materials Fee:         $500.00          (Covers all back to school shopping for your child, right down to pencils)

Tuition can be paid upfront with a yearly discount of $1000.00 off as long as it is paid by July 1st OR can be paid over as many as 12 months.  Tuition plans can be customized for the comfort of each family.  Sibling discounts are available at 20% off for each additional child.
